About The Author
I have been blogging since 2005. My first blog was through Friendster, a social networking site whose popularity has ended now since everybody is using facebook or twitter. Having my son in 2007 made me kinda put the whole blogging activities in a back burner. Finally, my friend who was (and still is) apparently an avid reader of my blog, told me that she missed my blog. She really enjoys reading my journeys in life mainly because I’m truthful about who I am. My husband also told me that my writing is trully enjoyable. With that said, I started a personal/family blog through wordpress.com. The purpose of my personal blog is to share the moments we have with my son to our family and friends since most of them are on the other side of this country.
A year later, my hubby and I went through shaky moments in our relationship. By the time we put our son in daycare, all the sudden I couldn’t spend as much money as I used to. We have budgets on everything we do, down to eating out. We’re so busy with our child we don’t get to spend much time with each other anymore. Both my husband and I were under a lot of stress.
Through lots of communications and reconnections, my hubby and I finally are in a good term. Everything that I’ve been through financially and emotionally inspired me to share it with other women. I know that I wasn’t alone. There are lots of people who are going through the same experience as I did whether it’s seven year each or five year each, been there done that. And that’s how mommylicious came alive! While everybody is blogging about deals and coupons, I prefer to focus on the thing that I love the most… Fashion! Our financial situation and current economy recession has inspired me to write about how to look good and be fashionista while on a budget. My family and friends, the city I’m dying to get out of and yet still couldn’t bear to move are my whole inspiration.
I will continue to find inspiration through things that are happening around me, beautiful moments, love and friendship. I’m hoping that my story will inspire others as well.
