My goal in life is to be more organized, and I just found the best yet very simple tool to accomplish that, which is Microsoft Excel Calendar. I do have blackberry, but I just can’t stand typing with my thumbs. So I decided to use Microsoft Excel Calendar, and so far I’m loving it. I use it to plan my weekly meal, blogging topics, meeting planner, just about everything. I typically plan my weekly meal on Sunday, create a grocery list accordingly and give it to my hubby, who then research the Internet for deals and clip coupons from Sunday paper. Off you go, honey!!! Then I also plan on what to blog for the following week. Obviously this is subject to change as I typically blog about current events that inspire me, news, and things in that nature. However it sort of gives me an idea of topics and areas that I need to cover ahead of time in case there aren’t any major events going on. Sometimes I also list tv shows that I need to catch up on. God Bless Tivo!!! The best invention ever and can’t live without it!
One of the reason I created it is just so that I can commit spending some times with my hubby (read my post: Relationship Tips: The “We” Time). Both my hubby and I work our schedule and set aside some times when we can be together. This is not an easy thing to do, and sadly enough so far we’ve spent time together watching our favorite tv shows instead of playing board game. O well, at least we’re together.
The only time I use my blackberry is when I came accross an idea of topic that is not a part of my weekly plan. I decided to be as simple as it can be and so far it works out just fine. So, here is a sample of my calendar. Please note that what shows on this image doesn’t really reflect my daily activities, it’s just a sample of how I use Microsoft Excel Calendar.
