The Real Housewives of Atlanta

September 17th, 2009

I have to admit it…. I AM A REALITY TV JUNKY!!!!  Yup, it’s a shame, but that’s me!  I’m getting better, though.  I no longer watch MTV Real World, Big Brothers, any kind of lame staged dating show.  The only thing that I think the stupidest reality show ever and yet I just couldn’t get enough of it is The Real Housewives of Atlanta.  I don’t know why they use the word “housewives” considering they’re not portraying what housewives actually do.

Let’s talk about the current season, shall we?  Up to this point I still don’t know what the hell they’re trying to portray.  Is it the sort of the “American Dreams” lifestyle with the bling bling?  I actually love the New York ones, because these women actually do have occupations and a purpose when they get up in the morning.

  • Nene.  She is my all time favorite, although her scene imitating Kim went a little too far, I still like her because she’s funny and real.
  • Lisa.  She’s my second favorite.  I like her because she actually does something besides gossiping around town, or spending money on outrageous stuffs like other housewives do.  She’s not ashamed revealing where she came from, the family she grew up in.  She’s just a real person inside and out.  I love her fashion show because like Nene said, it’s not easy to pull it off.  Is it compatible with Bryant Park Fashion Show?  Probably not.  However, she has a good business sense by launching a line that are fashionable and yet affordable, a great match to our current economy.  On top of that, she’s a people person, treat everybody with respect and people just love to be around her.  That’s what business is all about!  You can’t launch a business just because you’re pretty and have money.
  • Sheree.  This girl needs some reality check.  You ain’t no designer or diva.  You expect people to treat you like a queen while you have nothing to offer.
  • Kim.  I don’t even know where to start.  She would do anything to get all eyes on her.  She’s a year younger than me and yet look twice my age.  Use her credit card to get botox, designer clothing, purses and other stupid stuffs.  Then she even said she’ll figure out how to pay it later, probably by banging some rich old married man.  She’s an insecure airhead, and the sad thing is, I know someone like her.
  • Kandi.  She’s too new for me to judge, but I know she’s a very talented person.  Sometimes I feel like she cringes a lot, but overall I think she’s a good person.

What can I say?  Reality tv is stupid but addicting.

I’m a reality junky TOO! I love NENE!She’s been a cohost on one of the entertainment shows on network tv (It’s the one that Lara Spancer does too) and she’s pretty great.

Kim is my least fav. I think she’s just a complete nut.

I’m waiting for the newest Housewives of NJ to start up again. I live a town over from some of them and that show is unreal to me.
