Restaurant Review: Ming Flower

July 22nd, 2009

Ming Flower is probably one of the best Chinese Restaurant here in Columbus.  My husband and I have been going to this place for years.  We even know the owner and most people who work there.  When we lived in Sawmill years ago, we used to go to Sun Flower (its sister company).  Never did I experience bad treatment or poor service from the waiters/waitresses.  The restaurant has been around for a long time and the locals already know how good the food is and how nice and clean the place is.  Therefore, I’m not going to brag about those facts.

What Ming Flower stands out the most from the rest of chinese restaurants is its customer service.  How do you define customer service?  A good customer service is when the staff goes above and beyond to provide what the customers want or need.  Last Friday, my husband, my son and I went to have dinner at Ming Flower.  While ordering the food, I asked the waitress if they have a plastic cup with a lid and straw for my son.  The water comes in an opened glass, which is very non-toddler friendly.  It really helps if my son can hold his own cup so I can actually enjoy my dinner.  The waitress came with a plastic bowl that they normally use when someone order soup to go, filled with water with no ice and a lid that they punched a hole on and insert a straw.  Very creative indeed!!  This is what I meant by providing customer service above and beyond, and Ming Flower definitely met this criteria.
