I had been looking for a replacement for my coupon organizer that was stolen along with my purse months ago (read Don’t Leave Your Purse in The Car! post). I bought mine from Hallmark and pretty happy with it. I was going to buy another one, but Hallmark doesn’t carry that anymore. What a bummer!!! So I began to look for it at amazon, and still… nothing satisfy my taste. I don’t like the plastic one that you can get from most grocery stores because it’s just too ordinary. I also don’t like the one made of fabric because it feels so flimsy, plus most of them comes in heavy floral prints design. I like something simple but cute and sturdy.
Anyway, my next option is to get it handmade. So I began to search esty.com, a website that focus on everything handmade. I found this really cute organizer that is made of manila accordion paper with felt material covers. I paid $10.50 with free shipping (very reasonable price), got confirmation along with when the item is shipped. Five days later, still no organizer. I got worried a little bit especially since I was really looking forward to receive it. I emailed the seller and asked her to give me the status of my purchase. The seller then told me apparently my package is still in transit and she has no control once it’s in the hands of snail mail service. However she offered me to resend another one at her expense should I not receive it by next week. So I was pretty relieved from what she offered.
Two days later I got my package. My coupon organizer is better than I expected. It so pretty and unique! The only downturn is I wished she had the blank ones. The organizer has already been pre-labeled with grocery list categories. You know… my husband is the one who does grocery. He’s much better than me when it comes to comparing prices and finding good deals. However he would rather be dead than be caught carrying this to do grocery! So my solution is to put my own label over it with the category that I need (i.e. shopping, restaurant, etc). Overall I’m pretty happy with my purchase and I support homebased business.
